McKesson Revenue Recognition

Hello everybody,

Tomorrow I have a phone interview with McKesson for a Revenue Recognition type of role. I pasted the job description below and noticed they want strong accounting knowledge of revenue recognition. I studied Finance and Economics and have decent knowledge of the accounting cycle. This past year I've worked at a large corporation as a Financial Analyst on the FP&A team, but not sure how my experience will qualify for this role.

Does anybody have a link to a website with an overview of this type of accounting? Does anybody have any idea of the type of questions they might ask me?

"You are interviewing for the Finance/Accounting Specialist Role. Job Des We are seeking a Finance/Accounting specialist to assist with processing and recording rebates for extremely large enterprise customers of our client. This role will focus on Revenue Recognition and calculating and recording rebates based on specific contract terms with some of the largest customers in a high volume Pharmacy/Generics Drug distribution program (customers include Rightaid, CVS, Walgreens, etc). Must have strong Accounting Operations knowledge and be highly fluent in Excel - maintaining and analyzing data in Excel including Pivot Table and macros for manipulation of data for analysis."

Thanks
