Preparing for an FP&A Internship

Hey everyone,

I'm going into my junior year next year and landed a FP&A internship at a mid-sized investment bank in NY. Is there anything particular that I should be doing before it starts to be as prepared as possible? Any and all help/tips is appreciated.

I started my FP&A internship last Monday, so I'm obviously not very experienced but can provide some insight.

My biggest piece of advice is to make sure you know Excel very well. Along with VLookup's, pivot tables, etc. learn as many short cuts as possible so you barely need to touch the mouse. So far this has been the biggest hurdle for myself, but once you start using them it's not too bas.

From what I've done so far, as long as you know basic accounting it's fairly easy to understand what's going on.
