Retail Bank to Corporate Bank - Can a top notch MBA help ?
I have a decade of experience in consumer bank in the unsecured lending space of one of the largest banks in the globe. Currently I am into an EMBA program of one of the M7s (top 3 school). I want to pivot and move into commercial banking/corporate banking. What should be the right approach ?
Retail_Banker_JS, bummer your thread hasn't had a response yet. Sometimes bots are smarter than humans anyways:

You're welcome.
Can you try to network out of consumer lending into commercial lending at your bank? MBA for entry level commercial banking is pointless and a waste of time.
This makes a lot of sense and I am definitely trying to do that. Sometimes the problem with big banks is that you get stereotyped and it is difficult to move verticals, but I guess could be harder outside of the own organisation as well
