Valuation Case Interview
I recently just got an interview at a valuation group (Duff&Phelps/Big 4) and was told I would be given a valuation case study. Whole process including the case is supposed to be just one day from 10am - 3pm, including a lunch with two of the associates, but wasn't given how much time I would have on the case. Not sure if I should expect a 15min read with some questions or a full case study.
It's for an entry level role straight out of UG, got through networking.
Any idea on what I should expect with the case study?
Am also interested.
You are interviewing at D&P not big4. the case lasts about an hour and will deal with valuation (think dcf, comps, etc). Friends who have went through the process with D&P said it was a group case.
Hi, Could you share your experience on the case pls?
For me it was about building an integrated financial statement model.
Could you be more specific? I have an interview with D&P Valuation as well.
This was with a BIG4 firm, they gave me a laptop & told me I had 60 mins. They gave the IS, BS, & CFS with two years historical data/ I was supposed to build an integrated financial model & project the line items for the next 3 years. They wanted to understand the assumptions I made. Their question doesn't give you everything you need to know to build out the model, so you'll need to be a little creative & make sure you can explain it to them.
I had to make sure that when you change any of the assumptions, the related items change & BS still balances etc.. so you got to build the links etc.. It's a pretty basic operating model
Interested.
