VP of Corp Dev comp
Ignore title as I’m much more senior in banking.
Progressing in a process with a PE backed portfolio company. I would be reporting directly to the CEO and effective Head of M&A.
Comp package is $325k cash after bonus and $1mm equity grant for time of sale.
Is this market? Good or bad offer? How much equity should I push for?
Impossible to say without more details (size of portco, geography, level you're coming in from and caliber of prior shop). But without knowing details, it seems like a good offer.

I took my current job knowing I'd be a bit underpaid because I wanted to work for an old boss, but I'm making less on a cash basis and quite a bit less on equity side - in a MCOL city. Congrats - I think the offer on the table is pretty damn attractive.
$325k salary + cash bonus is the same order of magnitude that the two VP - Corp Devs made at the companies I have worked at. I don't know how that $1mm equity grant lines up as I have only worked on public company corp dev teams, but that seems reasonable.

Seems very reasonable. Cash is a better than average for a company with that EBITDA, especially as all base.
Looks to me like half a milly all in if you assume that $1m is on a 5 year vest, effectively.
Cash is within market. Equity portion is so variable, hard to say. It's not far off market for a Company of that size range. Make sure you understanding vesting criteria, and try to back into what % of the MIP you are getting to sanity check.
