What are the best low stress well paying finance jobs?
I was wondering what are some good low stress jobs for finance majors that are decent paying. The only stress free job that I can possible think of in finance is value investing. Any advice would be great I am currently going to college for financial management it be nice to have an perspective from someone who has experienced jobs such as financial analysts, advisors, investment bankers etc. Thank you so much!!!!
lmao - day trading as non-stressful.
Help us help you....how do you define non-stressful?
I guess where I am not overwhelmed with work and work where I can go at my own pace maybe even work independently from time to time.
stress is your body signal saying its time to perform. you reduce stress by gaining experience.
Don't look for the easy way to get by.
While in college get an excellent GPA, 3.5+, read everything you can on this site & mergers and inquisitions and you will be fine
There are a lot of low stress type finance jobs, but the majority of them are going to be lower pay. You can work as a financial analyst for pretty much any Fortune 500 company or related companies within the finance departments. It will be typical FP&A type work, financial reporting, and more of a 8-6 type job, where you will generally get around $55-65k (+/- depending on city/company/offices). You can also work as an FA or advisor for any bank and have a little better pay and growth. You will also have an advantage if you start as an FA for a bank and then move over as a Senior FA for a Fortune 500 company. Apart from that you can work middle/back office from any bank focusing a lot on reconciliation and compliance work. If you go this route you can pick a group your interested on such as FX, derivatives, ECM, debt, ect. You won’t get as much money or stress as you would working the same groups in front office. If you go with the first option, FA, it would be good to go ahead and get your CFA. Very valuable for resume, growth, and salary whatever route you end up taking.
CFA or MBA to accelerate career growth
I worked for a bank and it is generally low-stress during those 7 years.
Commercial Banking.
FYI investment banking has pretty much 0 to do with investing, I'm assuming you're not trolling.
Well if it's low stress then it wouldn't be well paying. If it's well paying it wouldn't be low stress.
In finance? I can think of other business related jobs such as an actuary from looking at some statistics they seem to have very decent pay and minimal stress. I don't think pay and stress have to go hand in hand.
I wouldn't call passing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Actuarial_credentialing_and_exams#United_…</a">these minimal stress.
Work for a utility in FP&A. Low stress, great hours, good pay.
Back Office jobs. Mostly not very stressful but the pay is good.
I had to stop reading after the second sentence. That's enough WSO for the day.
+1 for Commercial Banking
