Anyone can speak to WLB at Megafund Private credit?
Any insight appreciated. How’s the hours? Do you like the job, and do you think the work is interesting? How’s the WLB compared to IB/PE?

Some are 9 to 9 some are sweaty as hell but different flavors of sweaty. You are going to have to ask which firms you are interested in. I heard Ares is the better of them when it comes to WLB.
Not firsthand experience but would assume they aren't much of an improvement in QOL. You're dealing with large cap sponsors and competing with the banks. Neither bode well for WLB.
Mega cap deals are typically on much tighter timelines, which naturally causes late nights. Some firms also just require more in depth memos for IC so that’s a consideration as well. Volume ebbs and flows, so currently it’s “slow” but you typically still have to lock in when a new deal comes in bc of the timeline
