Corporate Banking 2023 Bonus Megathread

It’s been a year of hard work and it’s time to reap what you’ve sowed. Suppose I’ll have my comp talk in the following days and I’ll report back my actual figures. Curious to see how things are across the street. Let’s get it going.

Bank (Name / BB etc)

Housed under CIB (Y / N)

Region (NA / EMEA / APAC)

TC (Based & Bonus)

Title (AN1 / ASO1 / VP1)

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems like you're looking to start a discussion about the 2023 Corporate Banking bonuses. That's a great initiative! It's always interesting to see how compensation varies across different banks and regions.

Here's a suggested format for your post:

  • Bank: (Name / BB / MM / Boutique)
  • Housed under CIB: (Yes / No)
  • Region: (NA / EMEA / APAC)
  • Total Compensation (Base & Bonus)
  • Title: (Analyst 1 / Associate 1 / VP1)

This format should provide a comprehensive overview of the compensation structure across different banks and positions. Looking forward to hearing about your comp talk!

US BB APAC office still has not announced, will happen this month though

Confirmed: US BB APAC office announcing next Wednesday, January 17

Firm: JPM/BofA/Citi

Housed under CIB: Y

Region: APAC regional office

TC: USD 100k, with bonus being ~2-3 months of base salary (don't think APAC is getting global pay as cost of living is probably adjusted)

Title: AN1

Wish this thread wasn't so quiet but I'll chip in.

Bank (Super Regional)

Region (NA/South)

TC ($254k; $185k base/$69k bonus)

Title (VP2)

Bonus is down from $100k last year (expected; thought it'd be a drop but not quite this substantial). Base remaining the same at $185k which is probably the most irritating part to me. Top bucket.
