Moving to London (Finance)
Hello!
I’m a LevFin analyst currently based in Australia and looking to move to London, UK in mid-2025. Will be going on the YMS visa so will not require sponsorship. Just wondering if it would be possible to line up a job (ideally in credit / levfin) ahead of time, or do most recruiters not look at applicants from abroad and require you to be physically in the country?
If it is possible to apply from abroad, are there any company / headhunter recs to reach out to?

Market is good so if you have some experience in LevFin banks will be open to hire you. Especially if you are available soon already.
You might face some competition from other juniors, given the recent trajectory of HSBC and some poor bonus rounds across European banks.
