PC Market - Spain
Has anyone had any experience working for local funds in smaller markets like Spain or Italy?
I had a quick look and found Alantra / TresMares / Quendo being direct lenders in the Spanish market and was wondering how this would rank up? Is this a "final exit" already or will I get options from there moving to other PC shops? I like the idea of living in a new country, experiencing something outside of London but still working in the industry. Just a bit scared that this is damaging the long term career. Right now at a BB in levfin with the option to move to a MM PC fund.

Our fund recently started to compete there, seems like almost all players cover Spain from other European offices (incl. ourselves)
Just curious - do you have on the ground presence or cover the market from LDN? Not sure how likely a foreign player is to succeed in such a relationship-driven country like Spain/Italy.
No boots on the ground, only covered opportunistically through another office. Done only a couple of deals there so far, where our brand name likely helped.
