Treasury to Buy Side Routes

I’m in Treasury on the funding and derivatives desk of a bank trading swaps and doing various funding related trades. I like what I do and I’m growing in the role, but I know I’m going to want to move on from this after a few years. I’m curious if there is a route, what it looks like, and if anyone has done it before to get to a buy side trading role or similar. Ask questions if you need more context, but I’m hoping to get some good information.
