[Advice appreciated!] from IB to ER and then?

c. 10 years of experience in IBD (FIG) - most recently with a tier-2 US BB bank's FIG

Been let go recently due to slowdown in deal-making activities in the region and corporate restructuring

No other banks are hiring at the moment. But there is an offer to join ER covering financials stocks

Wondering what could be the career prospect of an IB-turned-ER analyst? How's the exit route?  Thanks!
