Advice on ER level coming from banking
Hey gang, I’m considering a move from investment banking into equity research for long term WLB reasons. I joined banking as an MBA associate and have been doing banking for several years and am now a VP3. Should I be targeting senior associate or VP roles? What is a good and reasonable level to be attractive to firms yet not sell myself short? Thanks.
Definitely VP roles assuming you don't want to take a substantial pay cut. I think you should be lining up to get coverage after a few years.
