Anyone have Primers?
Hey guys,
I am looking to diversify my overall market knowledge and it is easy to pigeon hole yourself by only looking at one industry . Anyone have any primers they'd be willing to share? Preferably anything in the basic materials space, but I'm open to any and everything.

Thanks!
Primers anyone? Open to trade! (Originally Posted: 06/19/2013)
I'm trying to get to understand a few industries outside of my own world, just for general knowledge. And I just learned that WSO used to have a huge bank of industry primers - but it was closed last year. Since I'm late to the game I guess I'll have to re-invent the wheel. Would anyone have a list of the filenames so I could get Googling?
I've got a lot of material on energy (Oil&gas) and building materials, if anyone is interested. Happy to answer questions on the heavy materials industry too - I work in M&A for an industry major.

I would love a link as well - I'm new and trying to break in.
Hi,
If you have the links, I'd be very grateful if you could PM them to me too. :)
I'd be interested. Silver bananas in return.
I'm quite interested as well in those links if anybody still has them. Silver bananas will be given.
I can't send PMs unfortunately (too few banana points), but if you want to PM me I think I can reply to you. There are about 170 files now on a Dropbox - thanks all who contributed! Anyone that can add something new is welcome to share it all. Then I'll close it down in a couple of days.
Just a thought - why not put them into your public dropbox folder, then post the link(s)? Much quicker and less hassle than having a hundred people messaging you for the same thing (remember that ER interview quiz thread a while back?)
If anyone has great resource websites feel free to post them.
Another beneficial approach is calling up IR departments and ask for a buy-side packages and industry information they may be able to provide you with. (Sometimes you may have to fib a little and propose you own/work for a boutique firm and are interested in becoming a substantial shareholder.)
