Best tech/software equity research reports?

Hi WSO,

I'm working on getting into tech/software equity research, and one of the big things I'm trying to understand better right now is how coverage gets initiated on unicorn tech companies like Slack, Pinterest, Uber, etc.

I'm specifically looking to get a better understanding of a few things:

1) How equity researchers today approach evaluating (especially in initiating coverage) companies where you can't always rely on traditional analysis to justify the valuation set by VCs

2) What differentiates the "highest-quality" tech/software reports apart from others

If anyone has thoughts, or might be able to share a few examples of initiating reports on companies like this, it'd be hugely appreciated!
