Capital Group - Equity Research Associate to MBA?

Trying to learn a bit about Capital Group and the equity research program. I read in another post that they rarely promote associates to analysts so the associates leave for analyst roles elsewhere, but is it common for associates to go to business school (similar to Dodge & Cox)? Are there cases where they would sponsor the MBA, or do they just cover things like GMAT resources then send you on your way? Also, how does the NYC office compare to LA and San Francisco for equity research? Thanks!
