Changing the "most important number in the world"
The LIBOR rate (London Interbank Offered Rate) is one of the most important numbers in finance, which helps to calculate the returns for various securities. But it is to be phased out by 2021, owing to inherent weaknesses in the number. So how do you guys think that they will be calculating their benchmark rates? Maybe they will use similar figures from the US Fed? Or maybe a weighted average of borrowing rates of the major banks in the world ?
