Choosing between offers
Hey WSO,
I am a junior seeking a full-time role in ER but have found no success in recruiting for internships in the field. This being said, I am still interested in recruiting for full time positions and have been offered two different intern roles for S 2025: a corp fin internship (possibly investor relations, strategy, or fp&a) and a really unique position in intellectual property expert testimony. I feel that either job holds a lot of value and would be happy taking either. That being said, could there be any innate benefits to taking one v the other? I feel the expert testimony position has value in modeling and projection of CFs but I am uncertain whether or not im pigeonholing myself into a career. I also wouldn't be disappointed in taking the role in corp fin - the company is recently public and I know it would be a great growth opp, but also don't want to limit myself when my gut is telling me to go IP expert testimony. Please provide any feedback on this but I'd love to hear what you think about possibilities of entering into ER from these internships.
