Commercial Banking Credit Analyst Exit Opportunities
I currently am a credit analyst underwriting deals between 1-50MM at a community bank in the midwest and have been there for a little over a year now. I can't see myself looking at credits forever, Pretty boring if you ask me. I want to leave the bank and was wondering what are my exit opportunities? I've always had an interest in the markets so an equity research role would seem interesting. Also considering IB, PE, HF & maybe even real estate or sales (mortgage banker, mutual fund wholesaler). Community banks also don't pay well so was looking to make a lot more money in the short/long run. Just want to know what opportunities I have that I can best position myself for using my banking background as leverage. Any input would be great.
