Corporate IR Exit Ops?
Have already done a search but can't find anything decent so I thought i'd make a new thread.
Have an offer to do Corporate IR but really don't have any interest in doing IR for the long haul. In a bit of a rush and need a job, not sure if I should take it. Previously worked in research in AM and commercial banking, any advice is much appreciated!
Where are you now?

Would be hard to lateral to investing I think. But given that you’ve been there and done that, what’s your end goal? You might like Corp dev better than IR.

Good question, from my perspective as a strategy (f500) colleague they are glorified comms people.
I know a lot of senior ER folks transition to senior IR roles and have seen senior IR folks transfer to some functional roles, but I think its a lot less limited at the junior levels. I guess you could lateral to come corp finance function or corp dev/strat if you have a compelling story?
