Energy - % Production Hedged and Finding Costs

Hey Guys, I'm interning and compiling these metrics for energy companies but I can't always find % Production hedged in the 10-k or press releases. Is there an alternate way of computing this? Even if the derivative contracts are all given in dollars?

Also, I've been told that finding costs should be exploration and development costs over extensions, discoveries and revisions but sometimes the exploration and development costs are capitalized...do I still include the whole cost incurred even if it isn't expensed in that year?
