Entry Level Equity Research
Hi All,
Just a curiosity question. How do entry-level ER positions work? It is my understanding that the entry-level position in ER is an associate. Does this mean that if an ER intern gets a full-time offer, they return after they graduate immediately as an associate? Wouldn't this entail a pay increase to the level of associate (more than the base for an IB / S&T first year analyst)?
I know the position titles differ for ER as senior "analysts" are usually the head honchos. Does this mean that an ER associate is the equivalent of an analyst in IB / S&T in terms of pay grade? Always was just a bit curious about how this worked.
