First day. Got asked what stock do I want to pitch in a few weeks. Chose the tech sector in developed markets, mainly US. I pitched Texas Instruments as it was on focus list.

Supervisor told me don’t need to follow list -offered Roblox or Duolingo. As a person who’s just starting, what do you guys think is interesting enough to pitch to Fund managers?

First-day flex: you picked Texas Instruments — solid, classic value play. Respect. But if you're just starting out and want to grab attention, why not go where the story is? Roblox or Duolingo have way more narrative juice — tech-driven, misunderstood by markets, real user growth, and both riding interesting trends (metaverse learning & education-as-engagement). They’re riskier? Sure. But they’ll make your pitch interesting . And when you're new, being memorable beats being safe.

Thank you but how do I know what else to look into for stocks similar to what he offered. How do I find ones with most juice and make mine interesting? Do I change the sector from tech to something else or are there more in tech? Sorry I’m just starting out - inexperienced
