Equity research interview (PUI)
2nd round. How much do i need to know about the banks coverage? And would you recommend pitching a stock that the bank already covers? Or find something that they dont cover?
Certainly be able to speak to secular trends covg is attached to or any timely controversies. When I was interviewing, I went completely overkill and wrote down 3-5 bullets about the business overview from K/Q for each company in case it came up, but never did. I would also suggest a stock they do not cover as I feel there is bad asymmetry when it comes to pitching a stock they are already an expert in.
