ER Associate Timeline at EB

I'm curious to know what's the usual timeline at EB (NYC based role) for ER Associate backfill position. I spoke with a director that got me a modeling & written test due on Thanksgiving and following Monday, I received an email from SMD (Head of Research) & MD (direct supervisor) to speak with on same day, I agreed and had a great conversation with MD. SMD pushed out to Tuesday as he wasn't feeling great and I believe, I had a great conversation with him as well (took time to explain the role, responsibilities, 1 year trajectory, also discussed my immigration & visa stuff to which he was extremely familiar with given both of his previous hire had same immigration status). Both MD & SMD responded to my thank you email within 2 hours in the late evening. MD replied (best of luck for rest of the interview), SMD replied (will be in touch shortly)

However, it's Monday already and since then, I haven't heard back anything. Is this normal or a sign of rejection?

So it's been less than a week? Think you should relax tbh.

Yes they may be interviewing other candidates. Doesn't mean they didn't like you. Can take time to make sure they're getting right pick. Also it's holiday/outlook season, probably very busy.

Thanks for the response. Do you think it'd be a wise decision to follow-up tomorrow or that may sound a bit pushy?
