ER at Truist

Hey Peeps,

Hope everyone is well. Does anyone have any idea how are things or what the culture is like at Truist for ER? Haven't found anything concrete yet from prior posts. They mainly were IB focused. I know it's senior analyst and sector dependent, but just wanted to get some data points. An internal recruiter at Truist reached out to me recently to have a chat. I am in the energy sector and looking to pivot into tech (specifically fintech) and saw they had a role there.

Thanks.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Truist seems to be growing in the Equity Research (ER) space, as mentioned in a prior thread. However, specific details about the culture at Truist for ER are not extensively covered. It is indeed senior analyst and sector-dependent, so your experience may vary depending on the team and leadership.

If you're looking to pivot from energy to tech (fintech specifically), it might be worth discussing this directly with the recruiter to understand how open they are to candidates transitioning sectors. Additionally, you could inquire about the team's dynamics, mentorship opportunities, and how they support analysts in building expertise in new sectors.

If you're serious about the role, networking with current or former Truist ER professionals could provide more tailored insights.
