Looking to move into ER but uncertain on what is the best sector to cover. Have an FS background but not sure I want to move into FIG ER. Any opinions on moving into FIG ER or potentially any sectors that would be more interesting and have wider exit ops? (Consumer, industrials potentially)

Pretty much any sector in ER has similar exit ops (although I would say some.HFs simply don't invest in financials because outside "circle of competence"). It's a matter of what you find interesting in general.
