ER Biotech Resume tips

Currently applying for biotech ER roles in the US, has an advanced degree and was wondering how to make my resume stand out and read by the banks? Any specific way of writing an ER resume? Also, do banks typically sponsor ER positions for international graduates?

Have been involved in the hiring process for bio er. Everyone has an advanced degree now - competition is legit nuts. You gotta attach a 2 or so page stock pitch to your resume. Don’t pitch a covered name… I’ll choose this candidate to go to the next interview 9/10 times over others unless some red flag.

Also, idk y ppl do this (a ton) but don’t reach out to me and in the first LinkedIn message say “I already spoke to some of ur colleagues about the opening, etc.” it’s a fuckin intro chat - be respectful. If ur cool, I’ll myself mention if team is hiring. I already know ur looking for a job, make it less obvious u morons

I know a Canadian who also has a PhD from top 10 school in the US and the visa issue has made it impossible. He’s still trying even though apparently Canadians don’t need H1B sponsorship or something
