ER Initiation Process — How Long?
Curious how long it might take an ER team to initiate on a new IPO, or add a company to coverage. Is that a single guy on the name, or the whole team pitching in?

Could be one guy or one guy and his associate or just the associate. Takes as long as it takes tbh cos rarely are you able to just pump out new coverage uninterrupted, you have to maintain everything else too.
Have seen it done in a month to 6 months. Oftentimes people also intiate on multiple companies (e.g. a subsector) to be more efficient on overlapping research efforts.
