I saw the investment banking side of the firm is delaying start dates and deferring Analysts but anyone have any color on what is going on Evercore Equity Research?
What is the reputation of Evercore Equity Research compared to the other large banks like JPMorgan, Bank of America, Citi? What are the best groups in the research dept at Evercore?
JPM/MS top 2, EVR is top 5... where they fall in the top 5 is up for debate. I certainly wouldn’t put BofA up there. No clue on the impact of the news.
What sector are you in? There’s some good analysts at every firm, but in general, MS’s ER division has always struck me as a glorified marketing team. Like GS, they’re kinda shills for IB.
Id definitely put both BAML & ISI ahead of them (tho still behind JPM). And the II & Starmine rankings seem to confirm that.
