Free Research?
Hi Everyone,
I apologize if this has been covered to death, but I didn't see an answer in the FAQ or in a quick forum search. Is there anyway to access worthwhile equity research relatively cheap? I'm interested in the field, but want to get a better idea of what these reports actually look like.
Cheers,
Are you a student? Or do you have access to a decent public library system? It's not going to be as good as paying for it, but some universities and public library systems have subscriptions to paid financial websites. When I was in school our university system gave us access to ValueLine and Morningstar. Other places that you might can get more info is with brokerage accounts. If you have a Fidelity account, you can access a lot of research reports from firms if you search for the stock on the "Research" tab. If you don't have an account with a major brokerage company, just put aside a few hundred bucks to get one. Then you'll have access to the research.
If you're in college some finance professors might have access and it can't hurt to ask.
What wareagle said.
Not your traditional ER reports but might be worth checking out:
Trefis
Sumzero (if you submit an idea you get access to their research database. Not sure how this site works for people not on the buy-side).
Seeking Alpha
