Graduate roles: which equity research groups to apply for?

Any ideas on which are the best equity research groups in London to work for? I hear that the quality of the analyst/team you work for supercedes in importance the prestige of the bank e.g. could feasibly be a better opportunity to work for a team at BNP Paribas than a team at Goldman Sachs, if the analyst is more respected in the industry.

Short of having a conversation with an employee in every bank in London (or scraping internet forums) how do you ascertain which groups are strong inside a bank? More generally, how would you find out which are the most respected ER teams in the city?
