How helpful is reading "Confession of a Wall Street Analyst" for an incoming equity research summer analyst?
I’ve heard this is a good book for people interested in equity research. However, since my internship is starting shortly, my priority is to read books that will help me do the job. So, will this book give me practical advice, or is it more of an aggregation of war stories? Also, is the contents still even up-to-date/relevant? I know the equity research industry has changed a ton in the past 20 years.
Counter-recommendations are also appreciated. I’ve already read a few of the common past recommendations in this forum: Best Practices for Equity Analysts, Investment Checklists, the Intelligent Investor, the Essays of Warren Buffet, and the Warren Buffett Way. Thanks!
