How to prepare for a buyside ER Internship?

I recently landed an ER summer internship at a top global asset manager and wanted to know how best to prepare so I can convert it into a grad role.

I think the key skills I will be assessed on will be identifying and understanding the key long-term drivers of given equities (5+ year outlook) and directing my research effectively as the role seems to be quite self-directed. Are there any resources/books recommended that will help me approach this role and help me gain the 'investors mindset'? Or any other advice in general? I've not seen much on WSO about converting a buyside internship and due to the more self-directed job role (which sounds incredible) I think the advice and preparation could differ.

'Best Practices for Equity Research Analysts' - as the name suggests. I found it quite useful

For developing the investor's mindset, no singular resource can teach you that. Check out the many reading lists out there on WSO tho

Thanks for the recommendation I’ll take a look! I’ll try to navigate the site! Searching for previous posts is never very accurate.
