Industry Knowledge in Research?
As a career switcher, is it convincing to build my story around my industry knowledge if I were to interview for an Equity Research job? I would assume industry knowledge is somewhat useful because research people have to do a deep drive on what the companies that they cover do, right?
.
Understanding the industry and the operations of the companies is the real key to being a good analyst. The finance side of it is not too hard to learn.
thanks all.
