Internship Struggles

I am currently a few weeks in to an equity research internship and I am miserable. I have had previous internships working with public equities and have loved my experiences but my current analyst is just giving me mindless tasks and is quite frankly bad at the job. They can't seem to give me clear instructions for anything they want so I have to ask a bunch of follow ups. I basically haven't learned anything at this point and feel as if I don't have any resume bullets either. Any insight as to how full time ER recruiting works will be helpful/ any advice as to how I can make it through the next month or so would be much appreciated.
