Layoffs
I know GS had research layoffs lately, anyone here anything about the other BBs? I got an AN1 ER BB offer over the summer for this upcoming spring but am starting to worry a bit. We are gearing up for team placement but it's been weirdly quiet (not being reached out to by as many teams as usual). Interested in hearing what it's like on the inside.

And yeah, it might impact you. But probably not because juniors are cheapest labor and it’s a bad look overall to rescind offers.
Looks like GS laid off juniors + seniors. Not only worried about getting a rescinded offer but also after working on the desk since things are gearing up to get worse before they get better.
Any idea if the cuts included equity research, or it was mostly bankers? Articles online seem to point mostly at bankers.
Nothing announced here yet but juniors on the floor are certainly uneasy. Feels like a matter of when not if

I heard it was only 1 person in ER in the US that was let go. Banking was the majority of the cuts.
This couldn’t be more false. Colleagues tell me it was at least mid single digit percentage.
