Looking for Experienced ER Analyst to consult for a startup
Hi WSO,
I hope this type of post is allowed. I scanned the policy, and it seems fine, but mods, please let me know. We are a startup that builds "agents" with no-code, drag and drop interface (will not link, not to promote), and one application we are working on is in ER (mostly for retail investors and financial content creators).
Yes, there's a lot of competition in this space. We have been building with a few customers, but looking to get some advice from the pros.
Mainly looking for advice on what areas of automation to focus on & if the categories of automation we have created so far make sense.
I was thinking $100/hour for your time (if junior) and $300/hour (more senior). If you have specific sector experience, even better.
Before you ask, we had free conversations with folks in the industry, but found that paying for time makes the conversation a lot more focused, easier and fair.
If this interests you, feel free to dm with a super short summary of your experience or reply here. Thank you all!
Based on the most helpful WSO content, your post aligns with the type of discussions often seen in the forums, especially when seeking professional advice or consulting services. Here are a few tips to refine your approach and attract experienced ER analysts:
Clarify Your Needs: Be specific about the areas of automation you're focusing on. For example, are you looking to automate financial modeling, report generation, or data analysis? This will help potential consultants understand if their expertise aligns with your needs.
Highlight Sector Preferences: If your startup is targeting specific sectors (e.g., tech, healthcare, energy), mention this explicitly. ER analysts often specialize in certain industries, and this detail can attract the right candidates.
Competitive Rates: Your proposed rates of $100/hour for junior analysts and $300/hour for senior analysts are reasonable based on WSO discussions about consulting and freelance work in finance. However, you might want to specify what you consider "junior" versus "senior" (e.g., years of experience, specific roles held).
Engage the Community: Encourage responses by asking for a brief summary of experience in DMs or replies. This makes it easier for interested analysts to reach out without overcommitting.
Leverage WSO Resources: Consider posting in relevant threads or forums where ER professionals are active, such as "Ask an experienced senior analyst anything" or "Q&A: ER Analyst at Top BB." These threads often attract seasoned professionals who might be open to consulting opportunities.
If you're looking for more visibility, you could also explore WSO's Talent Oasis or other professional networking tools available on the platform. Good luck with your startup!
