Luxury goods equity research
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how luxury goods industries are classified (jewelry/watches/cosmetics/perfumes/leather goods?)? Do some of these companies belong to the apparel industry? Can some share some light on analyzing these industries?
Many thanks!
In my shop those would fall either in apparel (guess/michael kors), cosmetics, or specialty retail (coach/tiffany&co)
First, jewelry, as the most precious metals can be mentioned. Then luxury cosmetics and its implementation into the real life of the women. How can you use this one and how can you enjoy this for the personal purposes? It is a great variant to use and to work with it.
what exactly is included in the luxury goods industry? (Originally Posted: 11/09/2010)
are luxury cars, yachts, and planes included? is Art? Where is the line drawn? is a 3 series mass market whereas a 5 series is luxury? Can you point me to any links? provide some direction?
Probably, but publicly traded retailers make up the bulk of what most would describe as the luxury goods industry for analysis purposes (LVMH, Hermes, Nordstrom, Saks, Coach, etc).
