Work at a BB, we don't have meal allowances. IBD does though.
I'm at a MM and we have an allowance for earnings season.
Same, only during earnings (and while travelling obviously but that's different)
MM here. They cater lunch M-TR, and give us an allowance Friday. If we stay after a certain time they cater dinner.

Dinner and cab after a certain time, in ER at a boutique
work at MM, we get catered lunches fairly often and the more senior employees are sometimes generous hooking up coffee/sandwiches friends at BB ER have food and transport covered similar to IBD
IBD usually only gets allowances after a certain time of night like after 6 or 7 pm and they end up often working until midnight or 1 a.m.
If you think about ER, you come in earlier at 6 or 7 am but leave by 6 or 7 pm. Hence, no free lunch.
Although let's say you plan on staying longer than 6-7 pm you can order food
