Operations at Morgan Stanley or Equity Research at MM for Summer Internship?

For my junior year summer, I'm torn between these two offers. I've gotten conflicting advice suggesting on the one hand, that I take MS for the brand name, and on the other, MM for front office experience. Ultimately, I'd like to end up in corp fin or in-house strategy/consulting. Any advice?

It will be cool to say you work at Morgan Stanley but once someone asks what division, you’ll get laughed at for being back office.

Berenberg for equity research. Assuming NY office - you’ll gain greater exposure to markets, have greater responsibility, and deal with more interesting work. You’ll also be better positioned to compete for a greater number of roles when exiting.

Plus the possibility of traveling to their London office is always a plus.

Thanks! ER does seem like it’s more suited to exiting into strategy roles. I’ll be based in the London office (vs the middle of fucking nowhere for the ops role) which I also think would be much better for networking and general exposure

Equity research to 'in house strategy' lmfao, have you not bothered to do 30 seconds research on strategy & operations? how are you going to be an analyst if you don't have the ability to research things?
