Outlook of Sell-Side Equity Research?
Given the recently increased European regulations on sell-side research activity as well as the advent of automation displacing swarths of jobs in the financial services industry in the near future, what does equity research look like in the coming few years? Are there going to be significant pay cuts and reductions in headcount? Does research look like a bright industry that recent graduates should be aiming towards?
