Pro-forma income statement model for ER interview

This might be a dumb question but I searched around and found no related answers: I am building a pro forma quarterly and annual income statement model that covers 2017 and 2018 as requested for an interview.

I am familiar with 3 statement modeling, but the difficulty arises when they requested that I include "Total Revenue and Earnings, in a non GAAP format"

I wanted advice on steps for this model: 1. Produce 3 statement model 2. Populate data from SEC filings 3. convert revenue and earnings into non-gaap format using 8k filing "Reconciliation of Non-GAAP Financial Measures" and arrive at their Adjusted Net income/EBITDA values.

Can anyone chime in on if I am egregiously wrong with my outline? Any advice is appreciated!
