Prop Shop Buy Side Research

Hey!

Because of the broadness of "buy side research" I'm wondering how buy-side research roles vary from company to company. Specifically within a prop shop/market maker, I would be working with a "trader, " so I presume I wouldn't be making the trades myself.

Besides the type of work I would be doing, some questions I have are:

  1. What are the exit ops that I would be looking at?

  2. How is the compensation structure?

  3. What is the expected compensation?

I've networked with people in the role, but these are the questions I'm too scared to ask lol. I'm interviewing for the position so I don't want to be surprised if I get the offer.
