Being unemployed for longer is definitely worse imo. Expect to be covering a lot of random crap small/nano caps and brought over the wall on 100-150% warrant coverage deals where you’ll be briefing HNW retail on the names. Maybe it’s gotten better recently but it’s still very much a bucket shop. There’s a few alums who have ended up at better places. Worth asking them how they did it

I did a quick search on Glassdoor and there is a review also calling them a bucket shop. There was another review that looks like got taken down where a former employee goes into deep detail about how every buysider has been either burned by Roth or knows someone who has. Would taking a position here look bad on your resume/ limit your chances of exiting to better opportunities? Or is it just not as good as working for an II ranked analyst?
