Talking to Boss about Comp
I’m in a smaller (under 500 employee) New York bank in ER first year out of UG. My base is way lower then what I read at BB and I’m sure my bonus won’t be anything close to getting me there.
Since my bank has less of a structure to it there is no real clear trajectory (I’m youngest in the group by close to 10 years) that you’d find at a bigger bank. I’m worried management is out of touch with what entry level pay is.
With compensation season coming close, what are some tips or stories people have about discussing comp at smaller firms?
