the underdog

Hi everyone,

I am in my senior year in college, I graduate FALL 2018. I want to start my career in ER. Unfortunately, it seems like everything is stacked against me.

I come from a non-target school. My GPA is 3.5. The only internship that I have under my belt is an accounting intern.

Is there any hope for someone in my position? Any suggestions/tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It is definitely possible. I am coming from a VERY non-target, but I had a much higher GPA. It all comes down to doing something to separate yourself from the others. My difficulty was in getting the interviews. The actual interviews themselves were the easy part.

Best bet is to reach out to some ER analysts via cold emails and ask them to help you work through a three statement model. You would be very surprised how willing some of them are to help people try and break in. Best of luck.
