Transitioning into ER in Pharma/Bio-tech with an Advanced Science Degree

Hi! Hope all is well with anyone that reads this post.

I'm looking for some general guidance on making myself marketable towards a career in ER in the bio-pharma sector. From my understanding and research, it is not uncommon for advanced STEM graduates (MD, PharmD, PhD, etc.) to transition into a career associated with ER in the life-science space on the sell-side. Can anyone provide me with more information on this, or any past expierence with a transition similar to this? I do not have a finance background (Bachelor's in Biology), though, I have a basic understanding of financial modeling.

Anything helps!

Brief background: Current PharmD student in the US very interested in finance in the healthcare space.
