UBS Scientific Associate

Does anyone know anything about the hiring process for this role? I applied and they invited me to a zoom meeting where they discussed the role, but then sent a QR code to apply at a different link.

In a weird situation where I dropped out of my PhD program 2 years in because I interviewed and got a job in ER. I would still like to apply to this role given the lay is substantially more and UBS is a better ER firm than the one I’m at.

Aside from not having a PhD, I have all other job qualifications this role entails with extensive scientific research published and coding skills.

Will I be considered without the PhD? What sorts of candidates have gotten hired in the past?

It was from this post on LinkedIn. What they explained it as was the position using the candidates background in scientific research and coding experience to apply towards equities.

I was told you would still be on an ER team and if you stayed the course could eventually have your own coverage.

I hope so. Looks like I got past the initial screening process and HR sent me resume forward.

The lack of the PhD may hurt me and maybe already having a job in ER would as well.

Good to know! From what you know, do you think it’s imperative that one has his/her PhD for consideration of this role?
