I've been told that you can never take off two weeks except for your honeymoon. I know this is true for Equity Research, is it also true for most areas in finance - hedge fund, Asset Management, etc.?

I took a week and a half off after my first year IBD bonus hit the bank. I was well liked and well respected by then, in a pretty chill BB bank / group. I'd recommend taking as much as you can get when you can get it - you work plenty hard when in the office
